Anna Porter is a writer, publisher, and consultant. She was born in Hungary and received her BA and MA at Canterbury University in Christchurch, New Zealand. After working as a junior editor in London England at Cassell and Company, Porter moved to Canada and began working at McClelland & Stewart in 1970. She worked there for many years, before she co-founded -- along with Michael de Pencier -- Key Porter Books. Porter is the author of five non-fiction books, four novels, and many articles in magazines and newspapers; she is also the recipient of several awards.
