The Summer 2021 version of HIST 2170 Contextualizing COVID-19 was an accelerated 6 week course that ran through May and June. Like the previous course, students heard lectures and participated in discussions with members of the Guelph History Department, but they also had the pleasure of hearing from Ian Milligan (University of Waterloo) on Web Archives, John Walsh (Classics, Guelph) on Roman and Greek responses to plague, and Andrew Bailey (Philosophy, Guelph) on the ethics of vaccine passports.
The students had added a considerable number of objects to the archive and they draw on these objects in each of their individual pages, where they tell their stories of COVID-19. We hope you explore and learn from these various points of view!
