Unfortunately, many families spent the Christmas Holiday apart due to the COVID-19. Lockdown has made the most joyful time of the year feel so miserable, making it extremely difficult to celebrate the holidays. Not to mention lockdown made it even more strenuous to visit members who lived in different countries. However, on December 21, 2020, a package came from Indonesia sent by my mother's family (Ng family). There were many snacks and clothes within the parcel from Indonesia, but the most exciting discovery was a Christmas card at the bottom of the box. My great-grandma included a card inquiring about my academics and when I would be visiting next. This simple card moved me to tears as my entire Holiday was instantly more joyful. This card was incredibly heart-warming and filled with love since my great-grandmother does not speak English well. I am grateful for her taking the time to learn English to write to my family and putting so much love into her words. I am carefully planning my next visit as soon as the pandemic is more manageable.
