Abstract

Frankie is a teenager stuck in a small town who dreams of attending a fine arts high school in Montreal. In order to make this happen she contacts Etienne, an old flame of her mother's, hoping she can convince him to take her in as a border. When Etienne arrives at their doorstep, much to her mother Ava's surprise, Frankie is forced to examine whether she was really after an education or a father.
