Things are complicated at Sarah and Samantha’s house. Their parents have recently separated and when Sarah’s beloved hamster, Chloe, dies, her little sister Samantha does whatever she can to annoy, distract and ultimately comfort her grieving older sister. Shelpah, the gregarious and disheveled clown of the show appears half way through the play to offer comic relief. The absurdity of Shelpah (lawyer in charge of processing the imminent divorce of their parents) disrupts the sadness in the house and brings the girls together.
