It is June, 1665, and the Plague arrives in Newgate Prison, London. Most prisoners, believing they are doomed, engage in debauchery, drunkenness, and the macabre dance of death. When the last turnkey dies, three inmates who have been desperately plotting escape are suddenly free to leave. But with a thousand victims dying daily on the streets outside, perhaps they would do better to bar the door, stay put, and survive--if they can survive each other.
