Geoffrey Rockwell and Stefan Sinclair have launched a new book with MIT Press, titled Hermeneutica: Computer-Assisted Interpretation in the Humanities. Hermeneutica takes on the task of introducing text analysis using computer-assisted interpretive practices, and pairs critical theory with over a decade's worth of practical knowledge. Hermeneutica will be launched at a reception at Congress in Calgary on May 30th (see below). Read more about it here.
This publication is closely accompanied by the recent launch of Sinclair and Rockwell's Voyant 2.0 tool suite. Voyant's user-friendly text analysis and visualization features have been reworked for greater power and flexiblity. See the ProfHacker article by Lee Skallerup Bessette (@readywriting) on the Chronicle of Higher Education site.
