% BLOOD TRANSFUSION
"The Instituto Hispano~Canadiense de Transfusion de Sangre established by Dr. Norman Bethune and supported liberally by Canadian friends of Spanish democracy has been brought to a magnificently successful culminag tion and has been taken over in totality by the Spanish Government and integrated into the medical services of the Sanidad Militar.
I "This happy result followed a great deal of negotiation, first by Dr.’ Bethune before he left Spain, afterwards by the other Canadian members of the Institute, and later hyIMr. A..A~lMacLeod, and finally by Mr..Allen pmay. The arrangement made was later confirmed by the following exchange
