HOSPITAL

As will be seen from the recommendation of Mr. A. A. Macleod as adopted by the Executive Committee, it has been decided to recommend that our first objective should be the upkeep of a 100 bed hospital in Spain.

rhis will require the payment of $2,500.00 per month for maintenance alone. ~This amount is not yet available over and above other overseas

comdttments.

~In addition to this, an initial amount, as yet unestimated, to establish

a hospital.

Further details have been asked for from.the Centrale Sanitaire overseas.

V It is earnestly hoped that before long the Committee will be able to launch and fully maintain this project.

’Whe Centrale Sanitaire Internationale writingregarding this proposition

’under date, August 28th says:

.x "Regarding your decision to support a hundredfibed hospital in Spain, . we believe that the amount of $2500.00 is necessary, seeing that the food itself costs about l0.00 francs per day. But the most important of all things is to send enough medicaments, instruments, e X.Ray apparatuses, radiologiqual films, etc." i
